If you are applying for your first permanent resident card, or if you need it renewed, we can assist you. Remember that a valid permanent resident card is the only travel document which allows you entry into Canada via air when you have permanent resident status. Validity of most PR cards is 5 years, but you need to maintain residency requirements to have it renewed.
Obtaining citizenship: You must be physically present in Canada as a permanent resident for 1,095 days within the five (5) years immediately before applying for citizenship. Alternatively, if your parent was born in Canada, you may be eligible to apply for a citizenship certificate. If you are a Canadian citizen and your child was born abroad, you may be able to obtain citizenship for them. We will review the facts of the potential case and determine if we can assist with a permanent residence application based on humanitarian and compassionate grounds. These types of applications are for people who need to request an exemption from certain requirements so they can remain in Canada. There are number of factors which are taken into consideration.
